CRISIL upholds ratings of NABARD.

(ADPnews) - Jun 24, 2010 - Indian credit rating agency CRISIL upheld yesterday the ratings of AAA with a "stable" outlook and of P1+ on various debt facilities of home-based National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

The rating action follows the enhancement in the rated amount of the commercial paper (CP) programme, rated at P1+, to INR 65 billion (USD 1.4bn/EUR 1.1bn) from INR 55 billion.

The ratings continue to be centrally based on the support the institution receives from the government of India (GoI), and the key public policy role the institution plays in the agriculture sector. The ratings also factor in NABARD's strong …
